Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. AND SOUTHERN CLAY COUNTIES THROUGH 215 AM EDT...

At 144 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Ashers Fork to near Oneida. Movement was
east at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Elys, Brightshade, Varilla, Swan Lake, Coldiron, Goose Rock, Black
Snake, Bush, Cranes Nest, Blanche, Krupp, Cubage, Herron, Shields,
Wasioto, Avis, Cottongin, Providence, Flat Lick, and Liggett.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
Hal Rogers Parkway between mile markers 18 and 21.
Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile markers 1 and
24.
U.S. Highway 25 East in Bell County between mile markers 1 and 18.
U.S. Highway 25 East in Knox County between mile markers 1 and 25.
