Dangerous Fire Conditions in the Southern High Plains; Severe Weather from the Great Lakes into Central/Southern Plains; Late-Season Mountain Snow

Dry and windy conditions will produce dangerous fire weather conditions across the southern High Plains into the Southwest. Severe storms, including very large hail, strong tornadoes, and winds, are expected from the Great Lakes into the central/southern Plains. Thru Nov 17th, 2018 is the 5th wettest year on record at the Jackson Weather Office, only 4.21" behind the wettest year (1989). With around 6 weeks until the end of the year, 2018 has plenty of time to climb the rankings. At least another 0.50" to 0.75" of precipitation is possible through the end of November. Meanwhile, Jackson December normal precipitation is 4.18"
