Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Gusty west to southwest winds will combine with low relative humidity and high fire danger to result in critical fire weather conditions Monday and Tuesday. Fire weather watches are in effect.
Ways you can prevent wildfires: dispose of cigarettes properly, do not leave camp fires unattended and make sure your fire is completely out before walking away, do not drag tow chains, and be cautious in dead grasses.
Gusty southwest winds Monday as a weather system approaches the area.
Strong gusty southwest winds of 25 to 45 mph Tuesday afternoon as a weather system passes through the state.
