Breezy to windy conditions are expected across the region again Tuesday. Winds will be strongest particularly during the afternoon/early evening, with gusts in excess of 40 mph expected across portions of Imperial County. Wind Advisories are in effect for portions of Imperial County through Tuesday night.
Elevated to critical fire weather conditions will affect some areas Tuesday, primarily during the afternoon/evening hours due to strong winds and dry conditions. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the higher terrain east of Phoenix late Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.
A dry weather system will move through the Southwest US resulting in gusty winds and cooling temperatures. As the system departs, temperatures will warm and return to near seasonal levels by the end of the week.
