There is a high risk of rip currents today for Walton, Bay, south-facing Gulf, and Franklin County beaches. Surf of 2-3 feet will likely cause rip currents.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the nearshore Gulf waters from the Okaloosa-Walton County Line to the Ochlockonee River out 20 nautical miles and the offshore Gulf waters from the Okaloosa-Walton County line to the Suwannee River from 20-60 nautical miles. Winds will be out of the east at 20-25 knots with gusts of 30 knots and seas around 4-6 feet. Wind and wave conditions will be hazardous for small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in these conditions.
