Prolonged Atmospheric River Will Impact the Northwest Early this Week

A weather system in the Pacific Northwest will produce rain throughout the day, before a potent atmospheric river produces a prolonged round of heavy rainfall, widespread urban and river flooding, and high elevation snow to the region Monday through Wednesday. DFW Airport Hailstorm

Meteorologists from the Center Weather Service Unit near DFW Airport observed hail to the size of quarters.  However, just 100 yards to the east, baseball hail was falling.  Following the hailstorm, American Airlines cancelled all flights for the remainder of the day to inspect for hail damage.
