Warm into the Weekend with a Few Storms

There is a level 1 our of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening across far northern ND and northwestern MN. Large hail and wind gusts are the primary hazards. Have a way to recieve warnings if you are spending time outside later today.

Temperatures will remain in the 80s and 90s into the weekend. The warmest weather will be found in southeastern ND. There are a few chances for thunderstorms as well in the forecast. One round this morning will bring lightning and rain mostly to northwestern MN. Additional thunderstorms may develop this afternoon and evening across northeastern ND and northwestern MN. If storms are able to develop, there is a marginal risk for one or two to become severe, with hail and wind the primary threats.
