Severe Storm Risk Friday

Today thru Sunday

Low level moisture will increase northward Friday ahead of a cold front. The timing of the cold front will determine the location of potential severe storm development. Right now a level 2 out of 5 risk of severe storms exists Friday mid afternoon into the evening for areas from Baudette to Mahnomen to Wahpeton and points east thru west central MN. All hazards are possible, including large hail, damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes.

Warm today, then cold front moves thru Friday. Mid to late afternoon and evening t-storms expected to develop northern into central MN and maybe far southeast ND. Much cooler this weekend. Partly cloudy and breezy Saturday and then clouds move in with chance of rain later in the day on Sunday. Rain chances Monday and cool highs 55-65. Highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s most of next week.
