Arctic Air Mass Lingers for Areas of the East; Critical Fire Weather for the Plains; Active Weather Pattern for Hawaii

Arctic air lingers for the east, however, winds will slowly subside and a slow moderating trend starts during the week. Moisture continues to provide rainfall and higher elevation snow for the Pacific Northwest, northern California and northern Rockies through Monday. Consolidation of NWS Flood Products

Effective on or after November 4, 2021, the National Weather Service (NWS) will implement the consolidation and/or reformatting of Flood Watches, Warnings, and Advisories. This action will allow us to streamline the types of flood products issued and make them more effective in communicating important flood-related information to the public.
