Tracking Severe Thunderstorms and Excessive Rainfall in the Southern U.S.; Winter Storm to Impact the Northern U.S.

A storm system will shift from eastern Texas into the lower Mississippi Valley Monday with additional threats of severe thunderstorms and heavy to excessive rainfall which may bring flooding. Consolidation of NWS Flood Products

Effective on or after November 4, 2021, the National Weather Service (NWS) will implement the consolidation and/or reformatting of Flood Watches, Warnings, and Advisories. This action will allow us to streamline the types of flood products issued and make them more effective in communicating important flood-related information to the public.
