Tropical Storm Imelda Forms; Another Round of Heavy Rain and Potential Flooding in the Southwest

Tropical Storm Imelda has formed near the Bahamas Sunday afternoon, and continues to bring heavy rainfall. The risk of significant wind impacts from Imelda along the Southeast coast are decreasing. January 2019 was 3-4 degrees below normal. Cedar Rapids and Moline had their all-time record low temperature broken on Jan 31st with values on -30 degrees and -33 degrees respectively.

Precipitation totals for January 2019 were a half inch to one and a half inches above normal.

Snowfall totals for January 2019 were about 15 to 20 inches above normal.
