Dangerous Cold Persists through Monday; Wintry Weather from the Northern Plains to the Great Lakes

Bitter cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills will persist from Florida to the Northeast through Monday. Daily record low temperatures are forecast across the Southeast and Florida, with some all-time February low temperature records possible across Florida. January 2019 was 3-4 degrees below normal. Cedar Rapids and Moline had their all-time record low temperature broken on Jan 31st with values on -30 degrees and -33 degrees respectively.

Precipitation totals for January 2019 were a half inch to one and a half inches above normal.

Snowfall totals for January 2019 were about 15 to 20 inches above normal.
