Overview

Every ten years the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) publishes new 30 year normals for the United States.  The new normals for 1991-2020 are now available.  Below are the new climate normals for the six primary climate sites in eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois with a comparison to the 1981-2010 normals.

Red means the 1991-2020 normals are warmer/drier than the old normals.  Green indicates the 1991-2020 normals are cooler/wetter than the old normals.

You can access the new normals page at: https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/access/us-climate-normals/

Note: Snowfall normals are no longer available for Burlington and Cedar Rapids.
