Lingering Winter Weather in Interior New England; Snow Squalls Developing Downwind of the Lower Great Lakes

A wintry mix will continue in interior New England through tonight as a coastal storm quickly passes to the east. Heavy snow is expected in northern Maine, with a coating of ice expected for much of interior New England. As of November 2018, the Marquette National Weather Service (NWS) has added four new river monitoring sites to our Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS) page. These gages are owned and operated by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), and the data is shared with the National Weather Service.

At this time, these sites are observations only and forecasts will not be provided. They also do not have established flood categories, but we would like to hear from you if you live near these (or any) waterways and see any flooding of infrastructure.
