Dangerous Cold Persists through Monday; Wintry Weather from the Northern Plains to the Great Lakes

Bitter cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills will persist from Florida to the Northeast through Monday. Daily record low temperatures are forecast across the Southeast and Florida, with some all-time February low temperature records possible across Florida. As of November 2018, the Marquette National Weather Service (NWS) has added four new river monitoring sites to our Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS) page. These gages are owned and operated by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), and the data is shared with the National Weather Service.

At this time, these sites are observations only and forecasts will not be provided. They also do not have established flood categories, but we would like to hear from you if you live near these (or any) waterways and see any flooding of infrastructure. Four new MQT hydrologic observation sites
