From social media - One of our storm spotters (and retired meteorologist) reported a storm total of 8.94 inches approximately 4 miles west of Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola in the northwest Florida panhandle since Monday, August 8th. Another meteorologist visiting Fort Morgan, AL measured 5.30 inches for the week. Other storm spotter reports: 9.06 inches in Foley, AL; 4.70 inches in Spanish Fort, AL; and 3.58 inches in Red Level, AL.

24-Hour Totals - The COOP site on Dauphin Island, AL recorded 4.30 inches in a 24-hour period on August 10th! Also on the 10th, one of our River DCP (data collection platform) sites in Pensacola at 11 mile creek measured 3.03 inches in 24 hours. The COOP site in Niceville, FL recorded 3.10 inches in a 24-hour period on August 11th. On the 12th, Jack Edwards Airport located in Gulf Shores, AL measured 3.24 inches in a 24-hour period.
