Showers and thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall, which may result in flash flooding, will continue this morning across portions of the region, before diminishing later this afternoon.
A Marginal risk for severe thunderstorms exists today for Southeast OK, Southwest AR, and portions of extreme Northern Louisiana. Damaging winds and heavy rainfall are the primary threats from any strong storms that develop.
Hot and humid conditions are expected today, despite scattered showers and thunderstorms that will persist across the northern and eastern half of the region this morning before diminishing during the afternoon. Locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding will be possible through at least early this afternoon. Look for temperatures to climb into the upper 80s north to lower 90s elsewhere.
Here are today's climate records for selected sites across the Four State Region.
