Hawaii and Guam Concerns; Severe Weather for the Plains; Heavy Snow for Sierra-Nevada

Heavy rainfall capable of causing flash flooding will continue to impact Hawaii through Monday. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain are possible in parts of Texas and the southern Plains and the Upper Great Lakes. Today will be warm with highs well into the 80s. Morning clouds will give way to partly cloudy skies this afternoon.
Overnight lows will drop into the upper 60s/lower 70s. Clouds return overnight, but rain is not expected.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected along and ahead of a cold front that pushes into Southeast Texas Saturday afternoon/evening. Locally heavy rainfall is possible. Marginal Risk (level 1 of 4) of Excessive Rainfall for areas generally north of I-10. Locally heavy rainfall could lead to instances of minor flooding, especially in low-lying areas and areas with poor drainage. Rainfall rates may peak in the 2-3+ inches per hour range.
Warm and humid weather is expected throughout the work week. Highs will be in the upper 70s/upper 80s with lows in the upper 60s/lower 70s. Low rain chances are expected during the work week due to high pressure overhead. A cold front is anticipated to push through SE Texas this weekend, bringing showers/storms and cooler weather in it's wake. Highs next week will be in the 70s with lows in the 50s/60s.
For the Southeast Texas Gulf Coast, expect generally south to southeasterly winds around 10-20 knots with gusts around 15-25 knots and seas of 3-5 feet during the work week. A cold front will push off the coast this weekend, bringing showers and thunderstorms as it passes. Strong northeast winds around 20-30 knots, higher gusts to around 35 knots and seas of 6-10 feet may develop in the wake of the cold front.
