Showers and thunderstorms are expected from Texas to the Northeast through Tuesday. Heavy rain will create mainly localized areas of flash flooding across the central Gulf Coast into the Appalachians. ...IPAWS National Test To Replace NWR Weekly Test Wednesday August
7th 2019...

FEMA, in coordination with the FCC will conduct a nationwide test
of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Wednesday August 7th at
1:20 PM CDT. This Integrated Public Alert and Warning System
(IPAWS) test will supersede the routine weekly tests of the NOAA
Weather and All Hazards Radio, which are normally conducted on
Wednesday`s at 11 A.M. and 7 P.M. The next NOAA Weather Radio
weekly test will be conducted August 14th 2019 at 11 A.M. and 7
P.M. unless severe weather is in the forecast.
