Extremely critical fire weather concerns for portions of the southern High Plans as strong wind and very dry conditions could result in rapid spread of any fires. FEMA, in coordination with the FCC will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Wednesday August 7th at 1:20 PM CDT. This Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) test will supersede the routine weekly tests of the NOAA Weather and All Hazards Radio, which are normally conducted on Wednesday`s at 11 A.M. and 7 P.M. The next NOAA Weather Radio weekly test will be conducted August 14th 2019 at 11 A.M. and 7 P.M. unless severe weather is in the forecast.
