Scattered showers are expected this evening, with a few thunderstorms possible south of Denver. Most showers will dissipate by midnight, with a few weak snow showers over the mountains, and weak rain/snow showers over the plains tonight. Areas of fog are expected to develop later tonight across the lower elevations.
Another weather system will pass over the forecast area Monday night through Tuesday. Snow will develop in the mountains Monday evening and continue through Tuesday night. There will also be strong winds starting in areas south of I-70, then becoming more widespread by Tuesday afternoon. Gusts up to 60 mph are possible in Park and Lincoln counties Tuesday. The strong winds will elevate fire weather conditions in Lincoln County.
