Heavy rainfall from scattered thunderstorms is expected across the Southwest, Intermountain West, and Plains. Isolated dry thunderstorms may initiate additional fires across the west. The coastal Carolinas may experience flash floods in the coming days due to repeated thunderstorms. Weather Forecast Office
We are not currently seeking any college students to volunteer at our office at this time.
The goal of our Student Volunteer Program is to allow the volunteer to gain practical experience and beneficial knowledge in the operations of a National Weather Service (NWS) Forecast Office. Student volunteers with the NWS office in Boulder will learn how to forecast in complex terrain, how to use the latest tools and technology in the forecast, and how to best communicate the forecast to key decision makers from across Colorado.
