Fire Weather Conditions in the Northwest U.S.; Heavy Rain in the West and South-central U.S.

Extreme heat is waning over the Pacific Northwest. Dry, gusty winds, and isolated dry thunderstorms will bring critical fire weather to the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West. With some holidays not falling on the same calendar day every year, some climate records are not as easy to find. Historical data such as the high and low temperatures on New Years is easy to look up, since it falls on January 1st every year. Holidays such as Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving are not as easy to look up the record high and low as they fall on different calendar days of their respective month each year. On this page those holidays do in fact reflect the average and record for the holiday over the years despite falling on different calendar days.
