Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Data type designator T2

There are TWO tables defined for this designator.

T1   = H

1. The WMO standard Table C3 as documented in Manual 386 PART II, Attachment II-5, and used for T1   = H, which is used in most parts of the world for defining these products.

T1   = H, Y, and Z

2. The U.S. National Practice Table C8 which is used to extend the definitions as defined in WMO manual 386 Table C3, and used for T1   = H, Y, and Z bulletins, used for most U.S. model products.
