Clear and Cooler Temperatures Across Much of the Eastern U.S.; Heavy Rain in Florida

A high pressure system is bringing mostly clear skies and cooler temperatures across much of the eastern U.S. to the Mid-South. A stationary front will produce thunderstorms and heavy rain across the Florida Peninsula to the immediate Southeastern coast. The Tampa Bay Marine Channels Forecast (MCF) has moved to its new home! Effective 1300 UTC August 1st 2017, the Tampa Bay Marine Channels Forecast product was implemented at the National Ocean Service (NOS) Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS).  Service change notice 17-76 was issued on Thursday, June 15, 2017 and can be found here.
