Paducah WSR-88D Doppler Radar Back to Operational Status with Repairs Complete

Thunderstorms in the Mid-Mississippi Valley and Florida; Fire Weather Concerns in the Northern Plains

Isolated severe storms capable of hail and gusty winds are possible mainly this evening across portions of the mid-Mississippi Valley. Repairs and calibration of the Paducah (KPAH) WSR-88D Doppler radar have been completed. As a result, the radar is considered fully operational at this time. We would like to thank the folks from the NWS Radar Operations Center who worked long hours to get the radar back up ahead of the May 11 target date. We appreciate your patience and understanding during the radar outage.
