Regional Outbreaks of Severe Weather Through Early Next Week; Early Season Heat Wave across the South

Active spring pattern across the center of our nation with several episodes of severe weather and heavy rainfall expected into next week. The potential for very large hail, long track tornadoes, severe wind gusts, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes and flash flooding are in the outlook. * SUMMARY OF DAMAGES: TORNADO APPEARED TO HAVE TOUCHED DOWN ABOUT A
  QUARTER OF A MILE WEST OF COUNTY ROAD 253 IN EAST CENTRAL TIPPAH
  COUNTY AND TRACKED NORTHEAST FOR A LITTLE OVER 2 MILES AND LIFTED
  BETWEEN COUNTY ROAD 254 AND THE TIPPAH/ALCORN COUNTY LINE. ONLY
  ONE HOME AND TWO MOBILE HOMES RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE AS THE AREA
  IS HEAVILY FORESTED.
DAMAGED A PORTION OF A MOBILE HOME ROOF AND
  AWNING WAS RIPPED OFF. SEVERAL HARDWOOD TREES WERE EITHER SNAPPED
  OR UPROOTED.  A FEW TELEPHONE POLES WERE ALSO SNAPPED OFF. ESTIMATED
  WINDS WITH TORNADO ABOUT 85 TO 90 MPH.
