Platte and Valentine, while precipitation in September was above
normal for Valentine and below normal for North Platte...

For North Platte, the average daily mean temperature for the month
of September was 69.7 degrees and was 7.4 degrees above the normal
of 62.3 degrees. September 2019 will go down as the 3rd warmest
September on record. The average daily high temperature for the month
was 84.1 degrees which was 6.3 degrees above the normal of 77.8 degrees.
The average daily low temperature was 55.3 degrees which
was 8.5 degrees above the normal of 46.8 degrees. One daily record
temperature was set during the month of September in North Platte.
On the 16th, the low in North Platte was 70 degrees which broke
the record high minimum temperature of 65 degrees set previously
in 2018 and 1882.

For Valentine, the average daily mean temperature for the month of
September was 67.8 degrees which was 5.5 degrees above the normal of
62.3 degrees. September 2019 will go down as the 6th warmest September
on record for Valentine. The average daily high temperature for
September was 82.1 degrees which was 4.8 degrees above the normal of
77.3 degrees. The average daily low temperature for the month
was 53.4 degrees which was 6.0 degrees above the normal of 47.4
degrees. Two daily temperature records were set during the month of
September for Valentine. On the 16th, the low in Valentine was 69
degrees which broke the record high minimum temperature of 68 degrees
set previously in 2018. On the 20th, the low in Valentine was 68
degrees which broke the record high minimum temperature of 65 degrees
set previously in 2007.

At Lee Bird Field in North Platte, precipitation for September totaled
0.96 inches which was 0.45 inches above the normal of 1.41
inches. No daily precipitation records were set during the
month of September for North Platte.

At Miller field in Valentine, precipitation for September totaled 2.69
inches which was 1.05 inches above the normal of 1.64 inches.
No daily precipitation records were set during the month of
September for Valentine.
