Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding Concerns in California; Heavy Snow in the Sierra

An atmospheric river will bring heavy rainfall to lower elevations of California this week, and heavy snow to the Sierra Nevada mountains. Flash flooding, some of which may be locally considerable, will be a concern on the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains through Tuesday. End of Frost/Freeze Products Until Spring 2019

NWS North Platte will no longer issue frost and freeze products as of October 11, 2018 for the remainder of the cold season. The growing season has come to an end across much of the area with lows this morning in the 20s across western and north central Nebraska.

Frost and freeze headlines are defined as frost advisories, freeze watches, and freeze warnings. Frost and freeze products will be issued again at the start of the next growing season in the spring of 2019.
