Severe Weather and Heavy Rainfall from the Midwest to the Ohio Valley; Mid-Summer Heat Continues

Severe thunderstorm and heavy rainfall threats will persist from the Midwest to Lower Great Lakes through Monday, shifting into the Ohio Valley and Central Appalachians Monday evening into Tuesday. Areas of the north and western combined Panhandles will have 10-40% chances for rainfall totals locally greater than 1", which could lead to isolated flooding.

Storms could produce strong winds up to 70mph and locally heavy rain once again on Sunday. Highest confidence is currently across the NW Panhandles, but lower chances for strong to severe storms could still exist along a boundary further south and east.
