Powerful Winter Storm from the Upper Midwest into the Northeast; Severe Thunderstorms in the Midwest and Ohio Valley

A rapidly-intensifying storm is expected to bring heavy snow, blizzard conditions, and icing from the Upper Midwest through the Great Lakes and Northeast. Effective on or about December 16, the display of radar date on NWS websites will change. The use of Flash will be discontinued, and the display will take on a new look and feel. The display is optimized for both large and small screens.
