Overview
Thunderstorms developing along and ahead of a cold front brought damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rain to parts of central Indiana during the evening of June 12.Flooding
High moisture content in the atmosphere combined with slower moving storms led to flash flooding for some areas in the Indianapolis metro and east central Indiana. Roads had water on them or flowing over them, and some yards were flooded. Below is an example of how fast a creek rose in the Indianapolis area from the heavy rain.
