Moke Impacts Hawaii; Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall from the Great Basin to the Plains

Heavy rain and gusty winds from Tropical Storm Moke will impact the Big Island into Monday, risking life-threatening flooding and mudslides in windward and southeast areas. Severe thunderstorms are expected across the northern Rockies/Plains and northern Great Basin. Overview

An area of low pressure along with an upper trough brought snow to central Indiana on January 5 and 6th. Some sleet and freezing rain fell at times in portions of southern central Indiana. Snowfall amounts up to around a foot fell in parts of the area, with far northern areas not seeing much if any snow.
