Nor'Easter Continues to Bring Heavy Rain and Coastal Impacts; Nolo Continues to Impact Hawaii

The nor’easter will weaken tonight, easing beach conditions and coastal flooding, though locally heavy rain will continue in parts of the Mid-Atlantic and New England into Monday. Hurricane Nolo continues to bring strong winds and large waves to Hawaii. A multi-day rain event will return to the Four Corners region Monday and expand to the south-central U.S. by midweek. 24-hour high temperature map Each morning, we create graphics for observed temperatures, precipitation, and snowfall over the last 24 hours. The graphic styles themselves have not been updated in a number of years, and were showing their age. We've updated the mappings to use a cleaner look, including more standardized color bars that match other graphics used by the NWS. A listing of observed values remains in place next to each map. The historical archive remains in place, and we tried to keep the naming conventions of the pages and images so you would not need to change your bookmarks.
