Super Typhoon Bavi to Impact Guam and the Mariana Islands; Excessive Rainfall and Flooding Threat in the Mid-Atlantic

Catastrophic Super Typhoon Bavi's eyewall has reached Rota and is expected to bring dangerous winds, heavy rainfall and storm surge to Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan. A Typhoon Warning remains in effect. Heavy to excessive rainfall will continue to bring a flooding threat from coastal Mid-Atlantic to southern New England through Monday. Read More >

24-hour high temperature map Each morning, we create graphics for observed temperatures, precipitation, and snowfall over the last 24 hours. The graphic styles themselves have not been updated in a number of years, and were showing their age. We've updated the mappings to use a cleaner look, including more standardized color bars that match other graphics used by the NWS. A listing of observed values remains in place next to each map. The historical archive remains in place, and we tried to keep the naming conventions of the pages and images so you would not need to change your bookmarks.
