Super Typhoon Bavi to Impact Guam and the Mariana Islands; Excessive Rainfall and Flooding Threat in the Mid-Atlantic

Catastrophic Super Typhoon Bavi's eyewall has reached Rota and is expected to bring dangerous winds, heavy rainfall and storm surge to Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan. Two tornadoes caused minor damage in parts of central Illinois this past weekend. The first tornado occurred Friday evening - September 27th - in northeast Fulton County, IL on the leading edge of a line of severe storms. The second tornado occurred Sunday afternoon - September 29th in extreme northern Logan County, IL from a supercell thunderstorm.
