A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. SEVERAL COLD AIR FUNNELS WERE OBSERVED ACROSS CENTRAL AND EAST
CENTRAL ILLINOIS MONDAY AFTERNOON. ONE OF THESE FUNNELS BECAME A
TORNADO WHEN IT TOUCHED DOWN 2 MILES WNW OF FISHER, ILLINOIS.

THE TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN JUST SOUTHEAST OF A FARMSTEAD AND
PROCEEDED TOWARD THE NORTHEAST. THE SOUTH WALL OF A MACHINE SHED
WAS BLOWN IN AND METAL PANELING FROM THE ROOF WAS PEELED AWAY AND
BLOWN INTO AN ADJACENT CORN FIELD. THE TORNADO LIFTED JUST EAST OF
ILLINOIS 47.
