East Coast Storm; Heavy Rain and Flooding in the Southwest U.S.; Typhoon Remnants Impacting Alaska

A coastal storm continues to bring heavy rain, coastal flooding, high surf, dangerous rip currents, and gusty winds to the East Coast into early Tuesday. A heavy rain and flash flood risk continues for the Southwest/Four Corners region with lingering tropical moisture through Monday. Cherokee Ridge (F0) [Back to April 7 Home ]

Another brief F0 tornado touched down between Arab, Mt. Olive, and Union Grove in the vicinity of Cherokee Ridge. The tornado severely damaged a large barn or storage area near the Cherokee Ridge sign and an Exxon station. Maximum estimated wind speeds were 70 mph, the path length was estimated to be 200 yards, and the path width 150 yards.
