Frigid Airmass to Bring Significantly Colder Temperatures; Snow Continues Downwind of the Great Lakes

A frigid cold airmass will bring significantly colder weather across the eastern two thirds of the country early this week. Record low temperatures are expected in the Southeast by Tuesday morning. Bruce Underwood and WGSV owner Kerry Jackson Receive Award For 50 Years of Service

On July 10th, 2008, Mr. Bruce Underwood and WGSV/WTWX station owner Mr. Kerry Jackson were recognized for 50 years of service. Mr. Bruce Underwood rising before 4:00 AM each morning, has been reporting temperature and rainfall data recorded at WGSV in Guntersville since May 10, 1958. Radio station WGSV-AM/WTWX-FM has carried on the tradition of recording important temperature and rainfall information that began when a COOP site was first established in Guntersville February 1, 1900.
