RATING: EF-0 ESTIMATED PEAK WIND: 85 MPH PATH LENGTH /STATUTE/: 0.91 MILES PATH WIDTH /MAXIMUM/: 75 YARDS FATALITIES: 0 INJURIES: 0 START DATE: JULY 14 2015 START TIME: 635 PM CDT START LOCATION: ON BEADLE LANE JUST EAST OF WALL TRIANA HWY START LAT/LON: 34.6115/-86.7527 END DATE: JULY 14 2015 END TIME: 637 PM CDT END LOCATION: ALONG HAROLD MURPHY DRIVE A QUARTER MILE WEST OF ZIERDT ROAD END LAT/LON: 34.6010/-86.7429 A TORNADO DEVELOPED JUST SOUTHEAST OF HUNTSVILLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND TWISTED A METAL BILLBOARD SIGN. THE TORNADO PROCEEDED SOUTHEAST INTO THE RIVER LANDING SUBDIVISION...CAUSING DAMAGE TO SEVERAL HOMES. A MAJORITY OF THE DAMAGE OCCURRED TO ROOFS AND FENCES. THIS INCLUDED MISSING SHINGLES...AND SOME GUTTERS AND SIDING WERE PEELED BACK. OTHER DAMAGE TO SMALL PLASTIC SHEDS WAS NOTED AND LARGE PORTIONS OF FENCES WERE DESTROYED AND LOFTED INTO SURROUNDING HOMES. NO DAMAGE TO TREES WAS NOTED BECAUSE THIS WAS A FAIRLY NEW SUBDIVISION. SURVEYED BY: DARDEN/KULA/STUMPF/MURPHY EF SCALE: THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE CLASSIFIES TORNADOES INTO THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES.
