Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Overview

A series of strong to severe storms developed and tracked southeast through south central South Dakota on the evening of the Summer Solstice, June 20, 2020. These storms produced repeated rounds of large hail which moved through the Missouri River Valley, with isolated damaging wind gusts as well.
