Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Madison SD Tornado Damage

A tornado, rated F2 on the Fujita Scale (wind speeds approximately 113-157 mph), hit the Madison area Tuesday evening, July 11, 2000 at approximately 5:55 PM CDT. The main area that received damage was the Lake County Speedway. Below are some pictures of the tornado damage at the Speedway.
