Dangerous Fire Conditions in the Southern High Plains; Severe Weather from the Great Lakes into Central/Southern Plains; Late-Season Mountain Snow

Dry and windy conditions will produce dangerous fire weather conditions across the southern High Plains into the Southwest. After a warm and dry end of October into the beginning of November, the mean first snowfall date for Alamosa (November 1st), Colorado Springs (October 24th) and Pueblo (November 5th) have been passed by. However, there is still well over a month before any snowfall, or lack there of, records will be reached. The following first snowfall of the season statistics have been compiled using NWS Pueblo and NCEI records.
