Lingering Winter Weather in Interior New England; Snow Squalls Developing Downwind of the Lower Great Lakes

A wintry mix will continue in interior New England through tonight as a coastal storm quickly passes to the east. Heavy snow is expected in northern Maine, with a coating of ice expected for much of interior New England. Heads up! Lake effect snow will lead to periods of low visibility and snow-covered roads across northwestern Indiana and southwestern Lower Michigan starting Wednesday morning, lasting through much of Thursday. Prepare for dangerous travel conditions, including along the I-80 and I0-94 corridors.
An arctic front will arrive late tonight accompanied by snow showers and a start of lake effect snow in northwestern Indiana. A wintry pattern will then prevail through at least early next week with regular opportunities for snow, blustery northwest winds, and cold temperatures.
A clipper pattern will deliver regular shots of cold air, windy conditions, and snowfall from late week into early next week. Regular impacts to travel will occur in the region as each clipper passes by. Stay up to date on the forecast!
