There remains a threat for severe weather on Wednesday with several rounds of storms. Conditions will be favorable for fast-moving severe storms particularly during the afternoon especially near and south of a warm front. Here are additional details on the forecast.
The position of a warm front will dictate the relatively highest threat area for tornadoes tomorrow. Plausible scenarios include the front making it far north as I-80, to remaining south of our area. Rounds of storms are still expected north of the warm front with a threat for damaging winds and flash flooding.
There still look to be two time windows for severe weather tomorrow, with the second in the afternoon and evening remaining the most concerning.
All areas of northern Illinois and northwest Indiana tomorrow are at risk for torrential rain rates, which can lead to flash flooding.
