Regional Outbreaks of Severe Weather Through Early Next Week; Early Season Heat Wave across the South

Active spring pattern across the center of our nation with several episodes of severe weather and heavy rainfall expected into next week. The potential for very large hail, long track tornadoes, severe wind gusts, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes and flash flooding are in the outlook. Fire Weather Forecasts
 
The National Weather Service Chicago Office is responsible for providing fire weather forecasts for Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana. NWS Chicago issues a daily narrative fire weather forecast each morning by 6 AM Central time. During the spring and fall, this forecast product is also updated during the late morning and again during the mid-late afternoon. This forecast consists of a brief weather discussion and a detailed 48-hour forecast of weather, temperatures, relative humidity, winds, and smoke dispersion parameters.
