At Chicago, the average high temperature was 60.0 degrees, which is 1.0 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was 41.5 degrees, which is 1.2 degrees above normal. The mean average temperature for the month was 50.8 degrees, which is 1.1 degrees above normal. 2.66 inches of liquid precipitation were recorded, which is 1.09 inches below normal. A trace of snow was recorded, which is 1.3 inches below normal. No daily or top ten monthly records were set for Chicago during this past April.
