Areas of Heavy to Excessive Rainfall and Hot Temperatures This Week

Heavy to excessive rainfall could bring areas of flooding at times Monday through Thursday across parts of the central Plains into the Midwest as well as southern Arizona and New Mexico. Headline: Recap of July 27, 2026 Severe Weather.  Sub Headline: Thank you to our storm spotters, broadcast media, and followers for your reports!  Summary Text (on lower left portion of graphic): Intense severe thunderstorms during the late morning and afternoon of Monday, July 27th resulted in several probable tornado paths, swaths of extensive significant straight line wind damage, and large, damaging hail. Torrential rainfall with the storms caused areas of flash flooding.
