Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Damage survey teams have finished assessing the damage from March 30, 2025. Five EF-1 tornadoes occurred that night, with the longest track being 31 miles from Meade, through Hardin, and into Bullitt.
Wind Advisory will go into effect tomorrow morning for all of southern IN and central KY. Wind gusts up to 50 mph expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles on east-west roads.
