Severe Weather and Heavy Rainfall from the Midwest to the Ohio Valley; Mid-Summer Heat Continues

Severe thunderstorm and heavy rainfall threats will persist from the Midwest to Lower Great Lakes through Monday, shifting into the Ohio Valley and Central Appalachians Monday evening into Tuesday. The heat and humidity will build this weekend, with highs in the mid to upper 90s and heat index values up to 108 degrees both days. Stay cool!
A few strong to severe storms will be possible during the afternoon and evening on both Friday and Saturday. However, the chance for storms is relatively low (20-30%).
