Frigid Airmass to Bring Significantly Colder Temperatures; Snow Continues Downwind of the Great Lakes

A frigid cold airmass will bring significantly colder weather across the eastern two thirds of the country early this week. Record low temperatures are expected in the Southeast by Tuesday morning. Summer heat persisted with just about everyone in southern Indiana and central Kentucky getting on board the 90 train. Several locations in north central Kentucky reached the mid 90s, with new records for the date being established in Louisville, Lexington, and Frankfort. Unseasonable heat is expected to continue well into next week.
