Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Summer heat persisted with just about everyone in southern Indiana and central Kentucky getting on board the 90 train. Several locations in north central Kentucky reached the mid 90s, with new records for the date being established in Louisville, Lexington, and Frankfort. Unseasonable heat is expected to continue well into next week.
