Clear and Cooler Temperatures Across Much of the Eastern U.S.; Heavy Rain in Florida

A high pressure system is bringing mostly clear skies and cooler temperatures across much of the eastern U.S. to the Mid-South. A stationary front will produce thunderstorms and heavy rain across the Florida Peninsula to the immediate Southeastern coast. Due to line problems, the NOAA Weather Radio transmitter in Horse Cave, KY will be out of service until further notice. No hazardous weather is expected over the next seven days. Technicians have been notified, and the transmitter will be returned to service as soon as possible.
