Clear and Cooler Temperatures Across Much of the Eastern U.S.; Heavy Rain in Florida

A high pressure system is bringing mostly clear skies and cooler temperatures across much of the eastern U.S. to the Mid-South. A stationary front will produce thunderstorms and heavy rain across the Florida Peninsula to the immediate Southeastern coast. The National Weather Service will be conducting two damage surveys today to investigate potential tornado damage: One in Edmonson County near Mammoth Cave National Park, and another in northern Adair County. Additional surveys may be possible as reports of damage come in.
