
Extremely critical fire weather concerns for portions of the southern High Plans as strong wind and very dry conditions could result in rapid spread of any fires. The National Weather Service issues forecasts and warnings to help save lives. However, in order for these to be effective, people must know what to do for protection from these hazards. It is important to have a plan of action BEFORE the event strikes, so you will be well prepared when the time comes.
