This heat wave continues with more records falling today and Thursday before things cool down slightly. With the heat comes critical fire weather conditions across northwest Colorado where fuels are dry and gusty winds are expected the next few afternoons. Some hope for precipitation arrives next week as this hot weather pattern takes a shift.
Record heat continues across the Western Slope this week. Today's high of 84 at the Grand Junction Regional Airport broke the previous record of 77, set in 1998, by 7 degrees. Records remain in jeopardy through the week.
