Severe Weather and Heavy Rainfall Potential for the Plains; Coastal Low Across the mid-Atlantic

An upper trough and frontal boundary will focus showers and thunderstorms across portions of the Plains through early Monday; A few severe thunderstorms along with heavy rainfall are expected. Meanwhile, low pressure off the Southeast Coast will bring inclement weather across the mid-Atlantic coast through Monday. The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Grand Junction, Colorado operates eight All-Hazards NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) transmitters across western Colorado and eastern Utah. For weather radio stations in surrounding states, click here. These transmitters broadcast official National Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The broadcasts can be heard on special weather radios (image) available at many retail stores, or on a typical police/fire scanner or marine radio.
