Frigid Airmass to Bring Significantly Colder Temperatures; Snow Continues Downwind of the Great Lakes

A frigid cold airmass will bring significantly colder weather across the eastern two thirds of the country early this week. Record low temperatures are expected in the Southeast by Tuesday morning. Helmut E. Landsberg Award.


Oscar has been observing the weather since 1949 from his farm about 15 miles southeast of Monticello, Utah.  He received the John Campanius Holm Award for outstanding observations in 1979, and the Thomas Jefferson Award for outstanding and distinct service in 2001, the highest award a cooperative weather observer can get.
