Dangerous Fire Conditions in the Southern High Plains; Severe Weather from the Great Lakes into Central/Southern Plains; Late-Season Mountain Snow

Dry and windy conditions will produce dangerous fire weather conditions across the southern High Plains into the Southwest. Severe storms, including very large hail, strong tornadoes, and winds, are expected from the Great Lakes into the central/southern Plains. First Triple Digit Temperature of 2018!

The Grand Junction Regional Airport officially hit 101 degrees on Wednesday, June 13th at 3:54 PM MDT! This was the first time Grand Junction hit the triple digits this year, and it was the first time since July 18, 2017! Wednesday's high also breaks the record for June 13th which was 100 degrees, last set 100 years ago in 1918.
