Tracking Severe Thunderstorms and Excessive Rainfall in the Southern U.S.; Winter Storm to Impact the Northern U.S.

A storm system will shift from eastern Texas into the lower Mississippi Valley Monday with additional threats of severe thunderstorms and heavy to excessive rainfall which may bring flooding. A Flood Watch remains in effect. In the northern U.S., a storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds over parts of the northern Rockies, northern Plains, and Upper Midwest Monday into Wednesday. First Triple Digit Temperature of 2018!

The Grand Junction Regional Airport officially hit 101 degrees on Wednesday, June 13th at 3:54 PM MDT! This was the first time Grand Junction hit the triple digits this year, and it was the first time since July 18, 2017! Wednesday's high also breaks the record for June 13th which was 100 degrees, last set 100 years ago in 1918.
