Arctic Air Mass Lingers for Areas of the East; Critical Fire Weather for the Plains; Active Weather Pattern for Hawaii

Arctic air lingers for the east, however, winds will slowly subside and a slow moderating trend starts during the week. Moisture continues to provide rainfall and higher elevation snow for the Pacific Northwest, northern California and northern Rockies through Monday. First Triple Digit Temperature of 2018!

The Grand Junction Regional Airport officially hit 101 degrees on Wednesday, June 13th at 3:54 PM MDT! This was the first time Grand Junction hit the triple digits this year, and it was the first time since July 18, 2017! Wednesday's high also breaks the record for June 13th which was 100 degrees, last set 100 years ago in 1918.
